The outbreak of conflict between Russia and Ukraine has repercussions well beyond the border between these two countries, even affecting areas such as sport. The Club of Padelasaurus in Estonia is a concrete example.

Eugeniu Lucianuc, president of the Club Padelasaurus, had proudly represented Estonia with his players during the first edition of the International Club Cup Padel in Malaga. His team, appreciated for its sportsmanship and its desire to discover other international teams, was to repeat this experience during the second edition which starts tomorrow at the Inacua club. However, the geopolitical context decided otherwise.

The Russian-Ukrainian conflict directly impacted the Estonian team, forcing three of its members to be mobilized. These unforeseen circumstances, added to the uncertainty and tension generated by the war, forced the team to withdraw.

Estonia, although geographically quite far from Ukraine, is feeling the shock waves of this conflict. The mobilization of its citizens for the front testifies to the depth of its commitment to questions of European security.

The Club package Padelasaurus, although anecdotal on the scale of such a vast conflict, illustrates how the repercussions of war can be felt in the smallest corners of our daily lives.
