Martin Di Nenno is one of superpibes – super kids in French – alongside his lifelong partner, Franco Stupaczuk. However, Martin Di Nenno is a true miracle of this sport. In fact, only 5 years ago, his life could have been turned upside down.

However, today he is one of the best right players on the circuit. The Argentinian has always been a very good defender and has now managed to reinvent his game to become more aggressive on the track.

A look back at the extraordinary career of Martin Di Nenno.

The start of a great career

Martin Di Nenno was born on March 18, 1997, in Ezeiza, Argentina. Like many players on the circuit, the Argentinian started the padel very young. The latter was born and raised in a family of great athletes, which is why he started competing very early.

At ten years old, the young Argentinian shines in sport. From 2007, he played with a certain Franco Stupaczuk. A player who will follow him throughout his career. Martin stands out as theone of the best players in his country. Little by little, he began to play and win many tournaments abroad.

In 2015, he joined the WPT with Stupa and the two young Argentinians were quickly nicknamed “The Superkids” (the great kids). They still wear this nickname, even ten years later.

A tragedy that could have been expensive

However, just one year after joining the professional circuit, Martin Di Nenno's life took a completely unexpected turn, which could have cost him his place in the World Padel Tour.

En January 2016, then aged 19, Martin was in Argentina where he spent the end of year holidays alongside his family. One day, on a fairly basic trip alongside his two best friends – including Elias Star, wonder of padel Argentinian and promised a great future – the three young people suffered a serious car accident while they were going to Paraguay to participate in an exhibition of Padel.... Martin is the only one to make it out alive.

He still emerged from this accident with both broken legs. The doctors are very pessimistic regarding the possibility of replaying padel for Martin and don't think he can walk again with a year.

However, Martin still demonstrates all his determination, his strength of character, as well as his courage. After a year of hard work, between hard work and rehabilitation, Martin Di Nenno manages to get back on his feet and return to the World Padel Tour.

The gradual return to the top

When Martin returned to the professional circuit, he struggled a little to find a regular partner. Indeed, he connects teammates and we will see him evolve alongside Juan Restivo, Javi Garrido or even Agustín Silingo.

Finally, it is alongside Maxi Sanchez, in 2020, finally manages to detach itself a little. The two men climb into the eight best pairs of the world. We then witness the arrival at the top of the young Argentinian prodigy.

After this year, he finds himself alongside Paquito Navarro. The pair became emblematic and notably won two Masters in 2021 (Barcelona and Buenos Aires), as well asan Open in Cordoba in Spain.

After two good seasons together, the two players decided to part ways at the Santander tournament in 2022. One last dance in apotheosis for Martin and Paquito, who won the title against Fernando Belasteguin and Arturo Coello.

The return of superpibes

Almost 7 years after the end of their association, Martin Di Nenno and Franco Stupaczuk decided to get back together and formed the superpibes. And even after so many years, the mayonnaise is still going strong between the two players.

Indeed, in 2023, superpibes offer themselves a crazy season. For a long time, they raced for first place in the world, behind the ogres Arturo Coello / Agustin Tapia. Despite everything, they finished runners-up in the competition.

Gwenaelle Souyri

It was his brother who one day told him to accompany him on a track. padel, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the broadcast of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
