On the men's side, the last qualifying round was played yesterday at World Padel Tour Brussels Open 1000 to determine the four pairs going into the final table. A final round of previa which was hotly contested and offered a great show.

The day started with a huge fight on track 3 between the Sans/Zapata (TS1) and Solano/Windahl pairs. The four men were decided in the decisive game in the last act. Tonet Sans and Teo Zapata ended up winning at the end of the suspense (6/3 – 2/6 – 7/6 (3)).

José Jimenez and Jesus Moya, who started their new association there, were the second to obtain their ticket at the expense of Martin Sanchez Piñeiro and Cristian Gutierrez (TS4). A very hot match won mentally: 7/6 (11) – 7/6 (4). In the process, Mario Del Castillo and Miguel Benitez (TS2) followed suit by making things easier against Goenaga / Bautista (6/4 – 6/3).

Finally, if seeds one, two and four enforced the hierarchy, the surprise came in the last match. Opposed to Rafael Mendez and Javier Martinez (TS3), Francisco Guerrero and Arnau Ayats created a sensation by performing a “comeback” to win in three sets (3/6 – 7/6(2) – 6/3).
