The three Belgian pairs having received an invitation for the first round of the World Padel Tour Brussels Open 1000 fell in front of their audience.

On the men's side, two teams were able to participate in the tournament and play in front of their home crowd. However, the draw was not kind to either side. Jérôme Peeters and François Azzola gave everything to cause problems for the new team, Sanyo Gutierrez and Momo Gonzalez, but without success (6/2 – 6/2).

Mission impossible also for Clément Geens and Maxime Deloyer who found themselves facing the invincible Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia. Despite a good show, the world number 1 in the Race proved to be ruthless (6/1 – 6/2).

On the women's side, Helena Wyckaert and An-Sophie Mestach took some time to acclimatize to the level of play offered by Patricia Llaguno and Victoria Iglesias. After a quickly dropped first set, the locals managed to maintain the suspense by leading 3/2 in the second set, before being caught up (6/1 – 6/3).

The players did not come as a surprise, but they gave a great performance in front of full stands who gave voice to support their champions.
