The second edition of World Padel Tour Brussels Open 1000 kicks off in two weeks and may well go ahead without the world number ones.

Already withdrawals this week in Granada due to an injury to Alejandro Galan, the latter and his partner Juan Lebron have not yet communicated anything about their possible arrival in Belgium, while the tournament set should be known soon.

The president of the organizing committee, Vincent Laureyssens, is not worried about this potential lack of size and is instead betting on the other pairs that make up the top of the table: Stupaczuk / Di Nenno, Sanyo / Belasteguin and of course Tapia / Coello . The Belgian also shows his enthusiasm to see the latest associations:

"We will even have the opportunity to discover new teams in Brussels: Paquito Navarro with Federico Chingotto and Alex Ruiz with Juan Tello. I believe that this edition will keep all its promises." he declares in the Belgian daily Le Soir.

Lebron and Galan, victorious last year, will have the opportunity if they are present to win aThe special racket designed by artist Glenn Bracke of Galerie 47. This model made of 22 kilos of bronze surrounded by black velvet and protected by a box has a value of 25.000 euros. The racket will be awarded to the team (or player) who manages to lift the trophy in Brussels twice in three years. Will the number 1s give it a shot? Reply soon.
