Le World Padel Tour Danish Padel Open ended this Sunday in Copenhagen with the crowning of two new winning duos on the circuit. A look back at an unprecedented weekend in Scandinavia.

The consecration of the Superpibes!

Since the start of the season, the new team made up of Franco Stupaczuk and Martin Di Nenno has been at the rendezvous of each competition, but each time it comes up against the same obstacle: Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia.

After having dominated them during the Premier Padel Qatar Major, the Superpibes were then always stopped by their rivals in the semi-finals or finals. Coello's injury at the start of the week added pressure on the shoulders of Stupa and Di Nenno.

And the package of Lebron and Galan opened the way a little more for this pair who really did not want to pass up this opportunity to offer themselves a first trophy on the World Padel Tour. And this Sunday against Momo Gonzalez and Sanyo Gutierrez, who were already playing a final for their third tournament together, the Superpibes were simply intractable.

Carlos Pozzoni's players ended a perfectly controlled Danish week in style. They have finally opened their counter on the WPT and must certainly wait for the return of Coello and Tapia on a firm footing to try to be the first to beat them on this circuit forever!

It looks very hot in Vienna this week. In the meantime, here is the summary of the Danish men's final Padel Open:

“Delfi and Bea”, new champions!

Associated since the Granada Open, Delfina Brea and Beatriz Gonzalez immediately showed that they formed one of the very best pairs in the world. Indeed, the two women played three consecutive semi-finals (Granada, Brussels and Vigo) and arrived in Denmark with confidence, but also with a little taste of unfinished business...

Indeed, it was time for the Hispano-Argentinian pair, already titled a few years ago in Challenger, to strike a blow. And among the ladies, the battle for the number 1 spot is so raging between Sanchez/Josemaria and Salazar/Triay, that we almost forget the determination of the pursuers. But this week Delfi and Bea reminded everyone that they were going to have to be counted on by eliminating the world number 1s first in the semi-finals. A performance that gave them the right to face the other bosses of the circuit.

And in the final against Salazar / Triay, Brea and Gonzalez managed to create another surprise despite all the experience of their adversaries. A first title on the main circuit which suggests, as for the Superpibes, a bright future for this association.
