Alex Arroyo and Gonzalo Rubio won the quarter-finals of the World Padel Tour Malmö Open against Agustin Silingo and Juan Cruz Belluati.

This meeting between two pairs that we did not expect at this stage of the competition has kept all its promises! Almost 2h30 of play, three match points saved by the winning pair, an epic comeback, a shower of winning points, the Swedish public had a blast!

Eventually Arroyo and Rubio did the same to Belluati and Silingo that the latter had done the day before to Bela and Coello. Mistreated during the first set, the Spaniards went close to defeat in the second round, before putting the turbo in the last. Aware of having missed the boat, the Argentinians suffered greatly at the end of the match, especially against the power of an unleashed Alex Arroyo.

Thanks to this success, Alex Arroyo and Gonzalo Rubio will play their first semi-final together tomorrow. It will again be against an Argentinian pair, that composed of Sanyo Gutiérrez and Agustin Tapia, who dominated their compatriots Capra and Sanchez in two sets: 6/4 6/2.
