Ale Galan and Juan Lebron were too strong for a Navarro / Tello pair still in the run-in WPT Malmö Open semi-final.

The favorites impressed at the start of the Swedish day. After Salazar and Triay, it was Lebron and Galan who enforced their status at the Malmö Arena.

Heckled by Lima and Stupa yesterday, the number 1s didn't want to hang out on the track this morning. Indeed, Mariano Amat's players only needed an hour and seventeen minutes to send Paquito Navarro and Juan Tello home.

After a one-sided first set, Lebron and Galan got a little more hooked in the second set, but not enough to freak them out. Within the last few weeks, Ale delivered a great performance this Saturday and he seems to be gradually regaining his best level.

In difficulty against “El Lobo” in his diagonal, Paquito still has work to do on the right side to be able to get closer to the level he displays on the left. Martin Etchegaray has also rotated the two men a little in attack to allow the Andalusian to regain confidence. A strategy that worked rather well but which did not, however, allow the trend to be reversed.

Thanks to this success, Juan Lebron and Ale Galan will have a chance to afford an eighth title this season on the WPT. It will be either against Sanyo and Tapia, or against the surprising Arroyo and Rubio. Answer this afternoon.

On the Navarro/Tello side, it's a positive tournament that is coming to an end, but we say to ourselves that there is undeniably still work to be done to be able to rise to the level of the very best.
