After the defeats of Martin / Garcia, and Ligi / Silva, Laura Clergue and Léa Godallier will be the only two French women to compete in the previas tomorrow morning.

Melissa Martin and Meli Garcia opened the ball in this second round of preprevias. Unfortunately, Meli Garcia was diminished due to a sprain that she gave herself this morning in training. The Franco-Spanish pair did not let go but bowed 3 / 6 4 / 6 face Ana Maria Cabrejas (98 WPT) / Baharak Solemayni (109 WPT).

Fiona Ligi and Diana Silva also bowed, facing Gala Leon (120 WPT) and Estela Frances (73 WPT). After having largely lost the first set (6/0), the Franco-Portuguese pair fought well but finally gave up in the tie-break of the second. Finally, a 6/0 7/6 defeat against a very strong pair and after a tough fight delivered in the morning.

The only French pair to have succeeded in previa is therefore Clergue / Godallier. After a delicate first set where they struggled to get into the game and tame the wind, Laura and Léa managed to find aggressiveness to gain the advantage over Monica Gomez Rivas (111 WPT) / Lucia Perez Parra (116 WPT). A final victory 3/6 6/2 6/3.

They will play tomorrow morning at 11 a.m., facing Sandra Bellver (56 WPT) and Marina Lobo (62 WPT). Big match in perspective!
