For their first tournament together on the World Padel Tour since their breakup in 2019, Marta Ortega and Marta Marrero have returned to the final.

We suspected that the automatisms would not take too long to return for these two players who dominated the padel world in 2019. The Martas prove once again what great professionals they are, reaching the final of this WPT Alicante Open.

A place won after an intense meeting against the Alayeto twins, who although dominated in the first set, and committing an unusual number of faults, never stopped fighting. A first benchmark victory in 2020 for the reformed pair Ortega / Marrero, who won in the end 6/2 4/6 6/3.

La second semi-final women, Sainz / Triay vs Amatriain / Llaguno will take place at 16h00, but the four players have been warned, the Martas are waiting for them firmly in the final, and they will do everything tomorrow to resume their march forward in 2019!
