Here is a theme raised by Audrey, a reader of Padel Magazine : humility to padel. Noting in his club that some players saw themselves stronger or less than they really were, it seemed interesting to raise this subject which remains however very subjective.

But nothing stops us at Padel Magazine, and we will therefore try to analyze this situation and offer you a top 5 of humility in the player of padel.

The new player

We all know that moment when a new player walks into a club and is asked what level he is. Some will be too modest, others a little less ... Overestimating your level during the first games in a new club does not give a good image of yourself. Slightly underestimate your level of play. Your partners in your first game will then inform the players of the club that you have a good level.

Result: Good impression at the first appearance and certainly a second match more suitable.

The reception of a casual player

A player is visiting the region for a few days and would like to play. The match is created and we start looking for players. But since no one knows this “foreigner”, well the match will be completed… without him. It is always nice to welcome new people. A new way of seeing the game and certainly a way to evolve your padel. Give him your place.

The clothes do not make the man

It all depends on the means of each one, but it is not because you are wearing the latest WPT outfits, that you have put on the last shoes and that you play with the very last pala, that your level is part of the world top 10 . Large, small, man, woman, strong, handicapped or other, everyone in their place on a padel. By playing the stars, you risk ending up playing on your own.

Whoever wants to always play with stronger than him

We understand very well this attitude of wanting to play games with people of higher level to ... progress. But you can not always play this type of match. Stay in your place, play matches of your level and from time to time your higher level partners will get you into their match. On the other hand if you miss a player one day, do not hesitate to invite a player of lesser level; he will also appreciate.

The club's cracks

Both the best players of the club and the teachers of padel are the ones that are looked at and often admired. Be careful to stay in your place because the task of a good player is to promote the padel, encourage people to take the pala, to come and share time at the club or on the edge of the field.

The stars are those players who frequently enter the final games of the World Padel Tour. And both these players and their coaches are very humble people, who preach the work to get there, and once at the top, work to stay there.
