To complete the previous post concerning the very good performance of Paul Forichon, which achieved a jump of 572 places in 1 year, the prize goes to Bilal Duprat. He achieves the feat to gain 1408 places in just 12 months.
No, you're not dreaming.
So yes, the former 2/6 benefited from being assimilated to 1500th place, which is why Paul Forichon ignores him if we only count the non-assimilated players. But he was able to take advantage of this logical springboard given the level he has offered since the start of the year.
In December 2022, it occupied 1500th place in France thanks to its assimilation. A month later, he found himself in 820th place in France. From January 2023, he announced the color with his 24 tournaments held over the last 12 months. He ends the year with 73 tournaments under his belt and a nice 92nd place in France.

In Bilal's journey, how can we not talk about one of the players who made this performance possible: Romain Sichez, who, in the process, took 3rd place on the podium with a jump of 530 places. Ranked 600th last December, it now occupies 70th place in France.
Bilal tells us about his journey:
“To start my story, I was ranked 2/6 in tennis. I started padel directly at the source in Spain with Benjamin Tison's coach for 4 months in Barcelona in October 2022. I then came back in January 2023 to start French tournaments with P250s, then I continued with P500s (including 5 P500 tournaments won) to finally win my first P1000 in Lésigny last September.
Today I am the reference coach of 4PADEL Montreuil, where I train with Guillaume Ledrap and Romain Sichez.
My goal is to climb into the top 40 at the end of next year, to win back a P1000 and to bring 4PADEL Montreuil up to N1.”
