I can't, I have padel at TCDC!

In the heat of the heat, this weekend was the summer tournament of TC Dardilly-Champagne, called for the occasion Open Trans Mat Sud.

Faithful to its policy of developing the discipline and its desire to offer padel for all, the club was once again relying on a tournament model approved in P100 with a women's draw and a men's draw. Many teams responded to the invitation of the newcomer from Lyon. They made this meeting a great success which overwhelms the organizers, who are also continuing their learning.

The thunderstorms at the end of the day on Saturday, which however would cut short the competition, did not affect their morale because for the occasion a player-players dinner had been organized. The TCDC will even go so far as to offer the competitors to play extra time on Monday evening for an evening. padel and a last barbecue on the edge of the slopes ...

Admittedly, the weekend was meant to be festive but the competition was nonetheless tough with intense and contested matches. Among the men, it is the pair made up of the talented Maxime Vincent and Sébastien Cornet (Mr. Padel himself came as a benevolent neighbor) who won the tournament at the expense of the formidable pair Olivier Plançon and Benjamin Martin who many know in Lyon but also everywhere in France.

In the women's competition, young Clémence Joly, unbeaten at the TCDC, and her friend Hélène Gondran, a convinced tenniswoman who came to test herself at what she calls the "jeu de paume" (sic), have overcome the ever-strong Frédérique. Mihajlovic and Bérangère Mayor.

As can be seen, the padel is doing well in Dardilly and the TCDC continues its development with perseverance, showing a certain potential to hope in the long term to become a known and recognized place of padel in the Lyon area. There is still a long way to go, but the desire and enthusiasm are very present!
