The activity padel is doing badly in most of the world. The ban on resuming 4-a-side play strongly affects padel. In Madrid, we cry to resume.

The Association of Clubs padel madrilenians (more than 100 affiliated clubs) request a resumption of activity in a “normal” way during phase II. If the clubs cannot fully resume activity padel as of this transition to phase II, it will be the death of several companies in the sector. Remember that Madrid is still in phase 0 of de-containment and that it is there for the moment impossible to play padel.

In more than two thirds of Spain, the padel has resumed, of course, but under certain conditions such as not being more than 2 on the track. For small clubs, these conditions can be applied but in large clubs, a slow speed activity is not profitable. So they stay closed.

What makes the big clubs work are of course the 2X2 matches, but especially the schools of padel as well as summer courses. With the measures currently taken, this will not be possible until September.

That's why the Federation of Padel Madrilenian wrote a letter to the authorities to sound the alarm. Clubs, businesses and especially families, will have great difficulty in maintaining activity if phase II does not allow full recovery.

A difficult subject not only for this Spanish autonomy, but also for many clubs in France and around the world.

Courage to all.
