Africa Padel Cup went well this weekend in the Tunis club. Certainly disturbed by the health prevention, the players however responded present.

Let us recall this pattern of competition. A club from several African countries coming together for a team competition called Africa Padel Cup

2019 being the year of the first edition in Senegal, 2020 gave an appointment to the artists in Tunis in the club of the Olympysky.

Health restrictions against the coronavirus did not prevent the occurrence of the event, but the difficulties of air traffic prevented the arrival of South Africa and shortened the stay of Equatorial Guinea.

In the end 4 clubs, Senegal with the club of Saly, Tunisia with the club Olympysky, Egypt with Go Padel and Morocco with the Nacho Payan club.

Direction the semi-finals, with 2 results without appeal on paper but very beautiful meetings which allowed to compare the style of play of each country. Morocco wins 3/0 against Egypt and Tunisia dominates Senegal by the same score.

Final between Tunisia and Morocco. Tunisia as champion and on its lands leaves with an advantage and confirms. Very tight final scores. Match 1: 6/4 6/4, Match 2: 6/3 6/4 and Final match: 7/6 6/7 6/4

An event that attracted the curiosity of Tunisians who passed the word and came in numbers to encourage all these players in a Davis Cup type atmosphere.

Other matches were also planned and had to be canceled such as the Africa Team Championship, a pair competition, and the ladies' exhibition matches.

Congratulations to the Olympysky club and to next year for an Africa Padel Cup more complete with the arrival of women, and certainly more clubs.
