The health situation is not improving by Amerique du Sud, quite the contrary. Once again, theAPT Padel Tour is forced to adapt. Here is the official press release from Thomas Johansson, general manager of the circuit.

A first press release

“The APT Padel Tour is working intensely to ensure the number of tournaments scheduled in the 2021 calendar. In this difficult period of the pandemic, the schedule will need to be flexible in order to ensure the safety of players and staff.
Argentina is currently in a very difficult phase of Covid infections.
For this reason, the APT Padel Tour has decided to postpone the event scheduled for the week of May 3 to 9 in Argentina by one week.
We are awaiting the corresponding authorizations and on Saturday May 1, the management of the APT Padel Tour will make a decision on whether or not to perform this tournament.
Since it is a big challenge to organize events in different parts of the world during these times, due to the various existing restrictions, the schedule is being restructured and we will announce it on May 1st next. ”

A little more patience

THEAPT Padel Tour was unable to unveil its new calendar on schedule. This is why a second press release signed Thomas Johansson was sent to explain this delay in the announcement.

“Dear players and fans,

APT Padel Tour is still working hard to establish the schedule for the next few months. Unfortunately, the current COVID situation in South America is not improving. APT Padel Tour strives to find the best, safest solution for players and staff.

That is why we ask you to be patient. A new modified calendar will be presented to you shortly. ”

After a great organization at Cork despite the many constraints, the APT remains firm in its desire to offer a major world circuit of padel professional. The situation seems to be under control Madrid, including the organization of the Master 1000 tennis tournament and the presence of spectators. We dare to imagine a great ordeal in Spain, initially planned from June 7 to 13.
