The winners of the APT Canarias Open were the main beneficiaries of the latest APT rankings update Padel Round. Tolito Aguirre climbs to 5th position while his partner Tito Allemandi is already the 9th best ranked in a list which is firmly led by Dal Bianco and Arce.

Tolito in the top 5

The 1000 points won during the last tournament in the Canary Islands gave a big boost to Leonel 'Tolito' Aguirre who entered the top 5 of the circuit moving from 7th to 5th position with 5702 points. Meanwhile, Adrian “Tito” Allemandi breaks into the top 10 for the first time with 4406 points thanks to his second tournament win as a duo, after the Oeiras Open.

Meanwhile, the top of the standings remains intact with Franco Dal Bianco and Maxi Arce as leaders with 10 points (despite their absence from the Tenerife Open due to Maxi's injury), followed by Fede Chiostri and Gonza Alfonso with 288 dots.

Other notable news in the last week's ranking changes are the promotions of Julianoti (11th), De Pascual (22nd), José Luis González (32nd), Pereyra (37th), Frugoni (41st), Puppo (43rd) or Mati González (50th); while others lose several places: Barrera (7th), Restivo (13th) or Stefano Flores (42nd).

The fight for the female number 1 continues

Among the girls, the main novelty comes from the winners of the Canary Islands Open, Sara Ruiz and Alicia Blanco, who are close to places in the Masters final since they are 17th in the standings.

At the top of the standings, Cristina Carrascosa retains the lead although her gap to Marta Borrero has narrowed to just over 200 points and it will all come down to the next women's tournament, to be held in Madrid.

Laia Rodríguez, finalist with Mireia Herrada in the last tournament, also stands out in the standings, gaining three places to reach 4th position.
