The number 1 seed of these French Championships 2022 wins in the semi-final against the pair Scatena/Maigret in two sets (6-1 6-3). Johan and Benjamin join Thomas Leygue and Bastien Blanqué in the final, for a remake of last year's final.

1st set – Bergeron and Tison alone on their planet

Although Bergeron and Tison had the status of favorites in this meeting, we did not necessarily expect such a demonstration.

Indeed, the set was totally one-sided. Jo (Bergeron) and Ben (Tison) showed exemplary firmness without having to push to their limits to take the reins in this meeting.

Adrien Maigret and Jeremy Scatena failed to answer them, or even worse: they gave the impression of not being able to get into the game. Multiplying faults and bad decisions, the seeded 3 only managed to score one game in the first set.

Score of the set: 6-1 Bergeron / Tison

2nd set – Number 1s assume their status

If we have emphasized the poor form of Scatena and Maigret, it is obviously necessary to highlight the superb performance of the seeded number 1.

Practicing a padel almost perfect, no frills, very sure of themselves and giving an impression of mastery, Bergeron and Tison were on a mission today.

Despite all the efforts of Scat' and Adrien who made a much more interesting start to the second set, they never seemed able to reverse the dynamics of the match.

Quite simply above, the favorites did not concede a single break point in the match and won almost twice as many points as their opponents (58 pts won by Tison/Bergeron vs 31 pts by Scatena/Maigret). A well-deserved success therefore for the reigning French Champions who will be able to defend their title tomorrow… against last year's finalists!

Final score: 6-1 6-3 Bergeron/Tison

Passionate about football, I discovered the padel in 2019. Since then, it's been crazy love with this sport to the point of abandoning my favorite sport.
