Oh Mendoza! It reminds me of a few memories and in particular a World Championship with the French team in 1994… Well OK, it's a bit far for some people, and it doesn't interest many people, but it was a little sequence of personal emotion!

Otherwise, as it's the holidays for everyone and a well-deserved break for our favorite artists, we're going to do a little mid-season update, so it's a little different formula for the now traditional article by Coach Zorrus, alias Laurent Imbert.

Coello/Tapia, the pair for the start of the year!

Among the boys, the extra-terrestrials Coello and Tapia are there despite a little less good. The Superpibes Stupa and Di Nenno are still there (phew, the injury was not serious). Juan Lebron alias "El Lobo" will certainly take advantage of this truce to work hard and come back stronger. The Chingotto/Navarro and Tello/Ruiz pairs confirm that we will have to count on them for the second half of the season. The young Libaak and Augsburger are struggling to confirm but it should come when Jon Sanz, he is indeed the male revelation of this first part of the season!

Who to prevent Sanchez/Josemaria from finishing at the top of the ranking?

Among the girls, Sanchez and Josemaria are the queens of padel feminine of this first part of the 2023 season. Behind the untouchables, we find a temporary pair which is likely to last much longer than expected, Triay / Ortega, but also Gonzalez and Brea, who are also very serious customers for the numbers 1 .

The Alayeto twins, who are celebrating their 39th birthday, show that they still have to be counted on this year. The youngsters are also starting to shake up the WPT tables a bit and it will be interesting to see how they manage this second part of the season. they have shown great things over this first part of the year: go Les Bleues!

And of course we are waiting for the return of one of the queens of the padel worldwide in recent years: Alejandra Salazar … but with whom?
