Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia win the first stage Premier Padel in Puerto Cabello, Venezuela. The Spanish-Argentinian pair thus achieved a very good harvest in Central America / South America with 2 victories including the one acquired in Acapulco.

And yet, the path was far from so simple, the fault in part of a virus which affected them throughout the week like many other players.

The stifling heat of Puerto Cabello did not get the better of her.

The food poisoning which affected Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia, however, allowed them to continue the adventure in Venezuela. The Spanish-Argentinian duo signs a 3rd consecutive victory with Puerto Cabello.

Between the climatic hazards and the unexpected difficulties in the first rounds, they had to fight more than expected. But they managed to complete a good final against Ale Galán and Fede Chingotto.

Unquestionably, Galán / Chingotto will play the leading role for the rest of the season, but there are a few errors that need to be corrected to get past Coello / Tapia.

Galán and Chingotto start strong, but we have the right to an interruption due to rain. The match resumes and it's a little surprise: the 3rd seed takes off and wins the first round 6/2.

The match evolves and Coello / Tapia shows more regularity in the next two sets, logically winning them 6/3 6/3.

Final score of 2/6 6/3 6/3.

Fans have flair: you anticipated a big game. And we got it. However, it was the first pair in the world who won at the finish. 53% of respondents anticipated a victory for Chingotto / Galan.

After Doha, Acapulco, and now Puerto Cabello, Coello and Tapia are heading for a well-deserved break. The next step will see them return to Europe for two tournaments Premier Padel in Brussels then in Seville, before leaving for America.
