The number of padel players in France remains a matter of debate. However, the French Tennis Federation is able to provide some interesting figures.
As of March 1, halfway through the 2023 sporting year, the FFT counts 113 padel players among all FFT licensees in 006, including 2023 licensees who have subscribed exclusively to the new padel license.
This means that among the million FFT members, nearly 10% play padel. An interesting figure to analyze.
First it could be even more important.
Indeed, many multi-racket licensees do not indicate that they play padel on the FFT website. If you are one of these tennis and padel players, you can, in just a few clicks, swell the ranks of padel players indicating that you are also a padel player.
Another interesting figure is that of 100% padel licensees, which exceeds 23.000 players: so it's progressing! Indeed, this represents almost 1000 more padel licensees per month since last December.

Franck Binisti discovered padel at the Club des Pyramides in 2009 in the Paris region. Since then, padel has been part of his life. You often see him touring France to cover major French padel events.
