The FFT announced that the bar of the million licensees has been crossed again. What is the real share of padel in this figure which remains nevertheless very positive for the Federation which represents tennis, padel and beach tennis?
You have the opportunity to contribute in 30 seconds to highlighting this figure.
+ 22.000 100% padel licensees
One thing is certain, today we have at least more than 22.000 100% padel licenseesThe elected official in charge of padel, Eric Largeron, announced it to us at the end of 2022.
But as explained by the Director of the Mission Padel, Arnaud Di Pasquale, “The ideal would be to have a precise figure on the number of padel players among the multi-racket licensees. For example, I have a multi-racket license. But today I only play padel. "
This example is far from being isolated. On the contrary, there are many more padel players with a multi-racket license than 100% padel licensees.
The reason is simple: a significant number of padel players come from sports clubs that have tennis and padel in their facilities. Result: by default, players have a multi-racket license even if some only play padel.
This is why we invite all padel players, even if you play tennis and/or beach tennis, to declare your sporting activities.
How to declare yourself a padel player?
