Episode 2. What a week ! I hardly know where to start so it was rich in emotions and aches.

Stressed but ready

Following the 11 hours of driving, shared with my best friend (thank you Julie), I arrived in my new home. Sunday night, a million questions in my head: who am I going to train with? what will be the intensity of the training sessions? will I understand the instructions in Spanish? will I hold the road physically? in short, a real reaction from a girl who was a little stressed on this day. The only information I had: Meet tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the club with your physical and fitness clothes. padel !

The day of class

Here I am the next morning, like a day back to school, the photo less, asking me a little what I was doing there. Then finally, I quickly remembered all the good reasons that led me to make this decision.
Beginning of physical training, a personal coach, Virginia, for my trainer of padel and myself. Crazy energy for 1h30, racing cardio, excessive sweating, in short, what was hard but what was good. This feeling of pride that you can feel after a big workout is one of the reasons why I love sport so much and when your final goal is as clear as mine, I can tell you that we give everything. I even make a small cross on my hand some mornings before going to training to remind myself why I'm here and that I haven't done all of this to now do things halfway so I want to say: at work! every minute counts!

My trainer: Gaby Reca

This first day, after the physical I had training of padel individually with my trainer, Gaby Reca, that I am incredibly lucky to have by my side. Currently in 28th place in World Padel Tour , he is the type of trainer and person who is unanimous on the circuit for his experience and professionalism. Then little bonus for me: he speaks French, and pretty good!
We try to speak most of the time in Spanish because I do not want to change habits and I want to progress in Spanish too. But what a pleasure to be able to switch a few minutes so that I understand what he wants from me. I really love Gaby's learning method, he's always encouraging me and makes sure I understand everything he asks. He is very patient with me and always has the right word. It makes me want to go beyond every training to make him proud. This first training, I waited so much, I was absolutely not disappointed, I can not wait for the next.
Finally I'm leaving the first day with dozens of tips in mind and a smile to the ears. What was good but also what am I glad to be able to rest now. Of course, after writing all the advice given to me because I am school enough and writing things helps me integrate them. I think it's official, there are big consequences of my school curriculum! When are Bristol cards?
A typical day of training for me is about 1h30 of padel and almost 2 hours of physics that I follow in the morning. This is certainly the most complicated, chain all this, hypoglycemia and small stars are not very far after the shower! I also took the habit of stretching myself very regularly and conscientiously. I've always been told how stretching is fundamental, but I think I'm only aware of it now. To believe that my body says that if I do not stretch, I have no chance to get up and walk right the next day.

Training with Cata Tenorio

From the second day of training I still had a very nice surprise. Tenorio tasting , 13th of the ranking World Padel Tour, who usually trains at the SPORT CENTER MANOLO SANTANA .. I was delighted when I realized that I was going to share almost all of my training with her. Her presence on the field allows me to have exceptional ball quality and pushes me to be as regular as possible so that she can train seriously too. More than being a luxury training teammate, she has been exceptional with me since my arrival. She is always a positive person, with an exemplary attitude and a good communicative mood. Humor is important to me and I can tell you that she is the queen of jokes. She helps me with all of my administrative procedures, gives me technical advice, but also in terms of communication, in short, she plays a very important role for me here, and her presence is extremely reassuring. She is a great player, but I can assure you that she is also a great person that I am delighted and proud to have around me now. Between Gaby and her, I don't think I fear anything, for me it's just perfect: best team ever ! BULLPADEL Team 🙂
It happens sometimes with Cata to train us with Martin Dantonio, a coach that I really appreciate, a very calm person, a very good pedagogue and with whom I learn a lot, they are very complementary with Gaby.

In prepa mode before tournaments

After two weeks and thanks to this nice team, I already feel that my game is starting to evolve and that I think a lot more " padel Than before. It will take me a while to integrate all the information, but I can already see that I feel much more comfortable! And I assure you that I sleep well after days like these!
I will start my season with some tournaments from Madrid circuit (FMP) before the official start of World Padel Tour end of March and the first P1000 in France. I should definitely start my first games next week. Almost not afraid!
Information on my experience of competition, my new potential teammate and the rest of my daily life, still without any filter, in the next episode!
