Agustin Tapia and Arturo Coello, currently the first world pair, have decided to part ways after having won three victories since the start of the year on the circuit Premier Padel.

This separation will not be effective immediately; the two players will still participate together in two events: the P2 in Brussels at the end of April then the P2 in Seville.

Although their future partners are not yet known, rumors suggest a pairing of Coello with Galan and Chingotto with Tapia.

“Even when we are not 100%, we dominate”

The precise reasons for this separation are known. Coello shared his thoughts at Premier Padel after a victory in Venezuela alongside the Argentinian on Chingotto / Galan:

“Even when we are not 100%, Agustin and I are superior. We were both affected by the virus that struck several pairs present in Venezuela. Despite our far from optimal form, we managed to beat Galan / Chingotto.

Of course, we lost a set along the way and I want to congratulate them, because there are not many players capable of taking a set from us even when we are down. This is the first time since the start of the season that we have had to fight...

But, by being a little more rigorous, we were able to win this match.

By mutual agreement with Agustin, we decided that for the good of the circuit, something had to change”.

Ambition to finish in 1st place in the world

Tapia shares his teammate's opinion:

“We will quietly win the next two tournaments in Brussels, then in Seville, to end on a positive note. Breaking up while being at the top of the world, wouldn't that be magnificent? For the moment nothing is official, but I agree with Coello: a possible separation will redistribute the cards and offer more suspense to viewers.”

Since this morning, Padel Magazine is able to confirm this separation to you.
