At the beginning of the afternoon, the World Padel Tour officially announced that Fede Chingotto will not participate in the Swedish leg of the World Padel Tour, due to health problems.
The absence of the Argentinian from the WPT Malmö Padel Open 2023 therefore leads to the withdrawal of his partner, Paquito Navarro, who will thus be able to benefit from a little rest before the next competitions, planned in particular in Milan (Premier Padel) and Barcelona (Master Final WPT).
Usually reluctant to withdraw, Fede was forced to withdraw following an injury, the nature of which he did not wish to detail at the moment.
It is therefore the 4th seed which disappears in this table and which will therefore miss the penultimate tournament of the regular season of World Padel Tour.
The table opens in particular for Miguel Benítez and José Rico who will therefore play “Lucky Losers” from the previas.
This evening, Fede Chingotto gave more details and more time! on his loss and his injury:
“My current state of mind can be summed up by this photo (photo at the top of the article). As you already know, I will not be able to participate in the World Padel Tour from Malmö. Now is the time to act well to return to the highest level as quickly as possible on the courts.”
