We are obviously not witnessing the most challenging FIP Gold in history, but we can still be delighted to have three French people (and a Belgian) in the quarter-finals in Mexico City. Indeed, the Franco-Belgian pair Geens/Tison and the tricolor duo Blanqué/Guichard are doing the work in Central America.

Opposed in eighth finals in Ortiz (401)/Araujo (529) and Arredondo (529)/Gonzalez (NC) respectively, seeds 5 and 7 got the job done with wins in straight sets: 6/3 7/6 for Tison/Geens and 7/6 7/5 for Blanqué/Guichard.

This Friday, the two pairs therefore give themselves the right to challenge the seeds 2 and 4.

Bastien and Dylan face at 16:00 p.m. local time (midnight in France) the pair Suescun / Dominguez, who suffered greatly yesterday with a victory at the end of the suspense against Almada / Argañaras (6/7 7/6 7/6).

Following this match, Clément and Benjamin will face the pair number 4, Mercadal / Martinez, who did not do in detail against Bejarano / Barrientos (6/1 6/2).
