Three French people made their debut this Wednesday at Mexico FIP Platinum.
Opposed to Cristian Medina Murphy and Belar Vera, Thomas Leygue and the Spaniard Ferra Insa delivered a solid performance to win in two sets: 6/3 6/4. A success which opens the doors to the eighth for the Franco-Spanish pair, who will face the winners of the match between Suescun / Luque (TS6) and Egea / Lopez on Friday.
It's over, however, for Dylan Guichard and Bastien Blanqué, who had started well against Meijer / Richters. The 100% French pair, who won a very tight first set (7/6), saw their opponents come back well in the second. Dejected after the loss of this equally contested second round, Bastien and Dylan completely broke down in the last act. They lost 7/6 4/6 0/6 against the Dutch who will face tomorrow the winners of the meeting between Moya / Cabezas (TS7) and Araujo / Ortiz, the pair who defeated De Meyer / Vanbauce in advance.
This Thursday, three other tricolors will enter the fray in Mexico. Max Moreau and the Spaniard must face the 8 seed Zapata / Guerrero, who lost yesterday in Malmö against Stupa / Di Nenno. Manu Vives and Julien Seurin are opposed to the 2nd seed, Lijo / Vilariño.
Matches start from 23:00 p.m. French time. To watch the matches live, go to the FIP YouTube channel.
