The native of Valladolid Arturo Coello confirmed that he would be present for the  FIP Platinum which will take place in “his city”   from June 24 to 30  !

This is a very big blow for the organization of the event since generally the very best players in the world do not participate in FIP Tour tournaments. But as he said during the tournament presentation conference, the current number 1 in the international ranking does not want to miss this event which is worth much more in his eyes than the 200 points he gives for the ranking.

“For us, the players, and for me obviously, it is a very special tournament that goes way beyond any category. When I learned about the organization of a FIP Platinum tournament here in Valladolid, I spoke with my team and told them that I did not want  don't miss this event . "

To clear up any doubts there might be, Arturo then confirmed that his partner Agustin Tapia would also be there:  “Our participation in Agustin and I is 100% safe” .

And if we believe the words of the young left-hander, it could be that other good teams are present: “If the tournament had taken place in November, it might have been more complicated because the game would perhaps already be decided in the rankings, but in June after ten or eleven tournaments, and knowing that barring injury we will be there with Agustin, I think it will bring  other pairs who battle with us in the ranking who will want to prevent us from winning in my city and taking these 200 points .
