The origins of this FIP

This new adventure was born from the initiative of 6 former tennis referees, formerly gathered around Hubert Picquier under the label of the Young Arbitrators of Ain. These enthusiasts have decided to revive an event that marked the history of Bourg-en-Bresse: theOpen Overlook! The year Yahiya Doumbia, present in Bourg-en-Bresse, won the Lyon Tennis Grand Prix hosted by GMO the following week.

Except that we are in 2023 and to be as innovative as at the time, this event will not be a tennis tournament... but padel !

Thus was born the tournament of padel international FIP RISE BOURG EN BRESSE, which promises high quality matches. This competition registered in the calendar of the International Federation of Padel (FIP), with the support of the ARA League and the French Tennis Federation, will guarantee a high level of play and quality organization.

Qualifying and first rounds will take place on the facilities of the S.O. Club with the support of Tennis Padel Fleyriat.

The originality of this tournament lies in its arena of 1300 seats, specially installed for the occasion and which will welcome the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final. This arena will offer players a unique experience, with a worthy show of the biggest tournaments in the world. Spectators will be able to enjoy a show of padel exceptional, in an electric atmosphere.
