This weekend is held on the Valencian coast on Burriana FIP Rise in which we find some well-known Frenchmen from the tracks of padel.

In the men

We found Benjamin Grue et Ludovic Cancel facing the pair Pastor / Melero. The two French unfortunately did not have the expected start of the competition because they lost in two sets 7/6 6/3 despite some good opportunities to take the lead during the game.

The second men's team to enter the arena was that composed by Julien Seurin and Bastien Blanque. The Toulousain and his partner saw themselves facing the local Adrian Rodriguez Manzaneque and his Andalusian teammate Alejandro Jerez Carnero. Abused during the first set, the French were able to get back into the game and reset the counters to zero. It was at the end of the suspense and in a very tight tie break that the outcome of the match was made. Neck and neck during the third match it was finally the Spaniards who got the better of the two friends.

Final score: 6/3 – 4/6 / 7/6

In the ladies

In the women's category, no less than three pairs are involved in the competition.

The first to fight was that composed of Camille Sireix and Amélie Detrivière against the seeded number 6 Lopez/Navarro. The French, heckled during the first set, redoubled their efforts to undermine the strategy of the two favorites. Well on their legs, they managed to turn the tide and return to one set everywhere in the second act, thus giving themselves a last chance to win the match. However the Spaniards did not flinch and their experience made the difference this Friday afternoon. Camille and Amélie bow 6/4 – 4/6 – 6/4.

A little later in the evening it was the turn of Wendy Barsotti and Elodie Invernon to represent the French colors in Burriana, facing the Portuguese Argentinian pair Bruna melo / Nerea Derbies. Despite a complicated start to the match, Wendy and Elodie played solid and attacking play in the second half, giving themselves an extra breath of fresh air. The third round will be identical and will confirm the good level of play of the French. They thus qualify with a score of 2/6 – 6/2 -6/2 for the quarter-finals which will be played this Saturday afternoon.

Finally, the last pair to ensure its ticket for the quarterfinals is none other than the one composed of Charlotte Soubrié et Carla Toully. The tricolors won their match in two sets 6/4 – 6/3 against Marta González and Laia Alvarez. They will play their quarter-final against the number 3 seed Marta Barrero / Carlota Casali this Saturday.
