On the occasion of the launch of the first stage of the Cupra Padel-Point Tour 2023 season, we had the opportunity to interview Franck Lemousse, who is in charge of organizing the circuit. We have come back to the main changes made for this new edition.

17 steps, not bad!

One of the changes for this year is the evolution of the number of stages. We go from 10 to 17 stages: sixteen in addition to a Master's, that's not bad. But we also enriched the performance a bit, we have different partners as we can see on the photocall. We also have more people who have joined us, which is really nice and which also means Welcome Packs a little fuller, so we really thank the players for participating.

Another new Cupra environment with a Formula 1 in particular, it's quite original. Babolat also joined us in place of Wilson. He is a beautiful, very committed partner that we have had over two years.

We really have, I think, an environment that inspires. We're going upscale. The idea is to do even better, to try to bring more with gifts, raffles, rackets to win that delight everyone.

The goal is to reach everyone

There are a lot of people because last year, already, the objective was to convey this message that it was intended for amateurs, enthusiasts, those who are discovering padel. So with for this year a P25, a P250 men and a P250 women, we know that normally, we reach people who are starting to compete a little.

We can clearly see that for the P250s, there are players who are already playing quite a bit and concerning the P25s, it is the discovery of the padel and they think it's great. They are all addicts!

The P25, the benchmark tournament for leisure players?

They are generally people who work and who take up this sport which they find fun, most often accompanied by a friend or their spouse. They come here, discover, it's a real pleasure and leisure for them to be able to play sports for fun or to meet other people.

A true signature

We really want to keep an identical format in all stages, so that everyone has exactly the same event. We are not going to do different things. It has to be a real signature. That is, if a person does one, two, three stages of the Cupra Padel-Point Tour, it must find the same environment. Everyone should have the same performance.

Very good players present

For this first stage, we have very good players. Jérôme Inzerillo and Max Moreau, two emblematic players of the French team will give us the pleasure of showing a little what the padel of the high level. It's always very attractive because it makes you want, it motivates you to progress.
