The dates are now official: from June 21 to 25, 2023, le padel will make its debut during the third edition of the European Games, which will take place in Krakow (Poland) from June 21 to July 2. The proof that the padel is a sport with modern and innovative horizons

A first with more than 30 countries who will compete over five days, and certainly the best players on the continent who will compete for victory on the pitch.

In addition to the men's and women's tournaments, there will also be a mixed competition, which confirms the path of total harmonization chosen by the International Federation of padel (FIP). The formalization of the competition confirms the strategy chosen in July 2019 by Luigi Carraro, President of the International Federation of padel. Indeed, as soon as he arrived at the head of the FIP, the latter had made the inclusion of the padel at the Olympic Games a priority. This is already a first step taken.

"It is a huge emotion for all those who love the padel, for those who practice it and for the athletes who have contributed to the growth of our discipline over the years. Look at the five Olympic rings and see a tennis racket padel in the background is the greatest reward for the hard, serious and relentless work that has allowed us to be chosen by the European Olympic Committees – which I thank once again – as an independent discipline. I'm sure we can contribute to the success of the European Games, we look forward to playing on the pitch and, now that it's official, to see you all on June 21 in Krakow“, rejoiced the president of the International Federation of padel, Luigi Carraro.
