“I wanted to organize a competition like this within my club, the Big Padel Bordeaux-Merignac. In my view the development of padel French professional goes through this type of event. I decided thanks to my network of partners/sponsors to create synergies in order to offer a tournament that is as professional as possible and in view of all the feedback from the players, the federation and the members of the club, I think that my bet is successful.”

“We have created a village for partners with a very nice reception on Friday evening, a Players Lounge, a warm-up area, a physio area as well as dressing rooms/stands for our various sponsors. The palm grove has become a sumptuous setting to the delight of players and spectators.”

A first in a private structure like this

“As tournament director, I would like to congratulate the FFT which, beyond financial support, has provided me with a team of professionals in terms of refereeing and refereeing as well as supervision. Special mention to Fabien Almanzy who made my work easier and made this tournament as professional as possible.”

“This is the first time that an FIP tournament has been organized within a private structure like ours. High level matches

“On the sporting side, we were treated to high-level matches which delighted the spectators. A little disappointment for our “Frenchies” who couldn't do better than the quarter-finals. Special mention to our French number 1 Benjamin Tison who did not hesitate to make the trip even if this tournament does not bring him a point. He came for me, he is a person with a big heart and I hope his injury will not harm him for the rest of the season.

Focus on the next edition

“We were a hit in terms of spectators with real enthusiasm, very good communication managed masterfully by Clément Cazaubon and his company ASC Studio which allowed many people to discover our sport. An incredible record, which makes us proud.

It seemed essential to me and to the directors of the Big Padel, Antoine and Louis Couvercelle, that a tournament of this type must be profitable. We want to be part of the long term and offer an important event each year within the Big Padel Bordeaux-Merignac. We are already focused on the next edition with already partners who accompany us but also with the desire to do much better and to make Bordeaux the stronghold of the padel French in the years to come.”

A huge announcement for 2025?

“I want the girls to join us for the 2024 edition. I'm going to do everything for it. I strongly believe in padel feminine and it will be one of my priorities for the next edition which I assure you will be incredible. We will stay on this type of FIP Rise category for the year 2024 but watch out for 2025, a huge announcement could soon fall...

From a personal point of view, I took a lot of pleasure during this tournament to realize it by measuring the small dishes in the big ones. I would like to thank the Peperiot Ovalis company which carried the naming of the tournament, the Moon Safari company with which we have great ambitions, Jean Luc Baldelli is a very inspiring person for me and we want to grow together.
