Margaux Monireh Randjbar, young Franco-Iranian, 30 years old, reconverted engineer padel in Bordeaux, supports the Iranian movement which has been following its course since the death of the young Iranian Masha Amini, who died on September 16, 2022 in Tehran, Iran.

The 37th French player, qualified for the French Championships of padel 2022, is revolted by “this iron fist that rages in Iran".

The context: on September 13, Masha Amini, 22, was arrested by the Iranian morality police for “indecent dress”. Activists, quoted by Agence France-Presse (AFP), say she suffered a head injury while in detention. After three days in a coma, she finally passed away.

As a reminder, in Iran, since 1979 and the Islamic revolution, it is compulsory to cover your hair in public. Likewise, women are prohibited from wearing tight or holey pants, bright colors or coats above the knee.

In the case of Masha, the authorities considered that she had not respected the rules of dress. In question: a poorly worn veil, making her "indecent outfit" in the eyes of the authorities.

Since his death, Iran has been on fire. Demonstrations of support for Masha are multiplying, many Iranian women stage themselves on social networks burning their veils…
