When for his World Padel Tour La Rioja Open, Valentino Libaak alias “Tino” made an impression. He established himself with his partner Ausgburger as the youngest player to play in a WPT final, at only 17 years old.

The young Argentinian was thus noticed by his peers, including one in particular and not the least: Miguel Lamperti.

For the moment, nothing has been confirmed by the two main interested parties. But according to the Spanish newspaper Marca, the two Argentinians will partner in the WPT Category Open 500 tournament in Reus.

When experience meets youth

Despite these 27 years that separate the two players, this mixture of youth and experience could well prove formidable in the next tournaments.

This is an exceptional opportunity for Libaak, and we imagine that he must be delighted to possibly play alongside one of the legends of the padel international, 23rd in the world ranking.

We suspect that Lamperti must have seen the full potential of his young compatriot when the latter eliminated him and his partner Belluati in the semi-finals of the La Rioja Open.

The redistributed cards

The formation of this new Libaak / Lamperti pair would therefore mark the end of the Lamperti / Belluati duo after the South American tour. While Augsburger, the current partner of Libaak, will ally with Yanguas at the WPT Open in Chile, due to Arroyo's recent injury which will therefore be forfeited.
