From the club Padel San Miguel de Tenerife, let's learn or deepen the backhand attack in padel. You will see that your backhand can become a weapon on the courts of padel.

How to realize it? What exercises to perform?

Clubs, players and teachers of padel, use these 2 videos to help you improve the offensive backhand.

The reverse of attack in a few lines:

The reverse side of the attack differs from the "simple" reverse from its place of impact: below the belt for the single lapel and above for the reverse side of the attack.

Also the reverse said "simple" will hit rather flat or slightly raised (effect from the bottom up) while the reverse attack will be struck rather cut (effect from top to bottom).

Although many players perform this shot below the belt, I advise to separate the 2 learning phase.

- Use on the body of the player on the fly to "fix" before preparing an attack
- Use to earn a point directly or as preparation with intent to finish at the net
- Use with an effect cut from the top to the front
- Low on the legs
- Left hand (for the right-handed ones) just pull the racket back to give more speed (whip effect) at the moment of the strike
- Preparation with the racket pulled backwards over the shoulder
- Face (or sieve) of the racket facing the sky
- Tip of the front foot facing the opponent's court to avoid knee injuries
- Strike the ball with the arm extended
- Strike above the waist, if possible at the height of our face
- Impact of the ball slightly in front of us
- Transfer of the body from the back to the front
- Finishing of the gesture with the back arm stretched for the balance of the body
