Resentments still persist

As a reminder, while the elite of world padel was on tour in Latin America at the beginning of the year, the first tensions between these two teams emerged in Chile. Facing each other in the final in the country's capital, the two teams experienced a rather controversial end to the match, generating a lot of discussion in the world of padel. In fact, while the "Mozart" of Catamarca and "the King" Arturo had just won the match thanks to a par 3 from the latter, Alejandro Galan took advantage of an erroneous decision by the referee and a confusion in the counting of points. The Spanish duo immediately seized this opportunity to try to turn the situation in their favor. But that was without counting on the resilience of their opponents who, in the end, won the match.

After public apologies from the Madrilenian and his partner, we thought the incident between the four players was closed. However, we were wrong. A few months later, during an exhibition in Kuwait, Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia were confronted by Juan Lebron, who was accompanied for the occasion by Paquito Navarro. At the end of the match, “El Lobo” respectfully greeted the Argentine, but ignored his compatriot, much to everyone's surprise.

We all know Juan LeBron for his strong character, both inside and outside the track. However, it appears that this situation has been uncomfortable and difficult for him over the past few months. Thus, at the end of the semi-final of this German Open, the Andalusian wanted to exchange a few words with his teammate in the Spanish selection.

Juan Lebron: “I'm really sorry I won.”

Arturo Coello: “It’s nothing, it doesn’t matter.”

Agustin Tapia: “But we always greet each other at the end.”

Arturo Coello: “I give you my word, whether we lose or win, we congratulate each other.”

Juan Lebron: “Do you know why I didn’t come to greet you last time? Because of what happened at the beginning of the year. This situation affected me. I’m sorry to tell you about it now.”

Arturo Coello: “We still protected you a lot, we didn’t talk about what happened in Chile.”

Juan Lebron: “No, no, I'm not talking about Chile, but about the exhibition. Do you remember what happened? I beg your pardon."

Arturo Coello: “I give my word, and if we greet each other once, we will have to greet each other all the time.”

Juan Lebron: “My big guy, I don’t wish harm on anyone, I swear it on my mother.”

Arturo Coello: “Okay, it’s over, we’re not talking about it anymore.”

The discussion between the three protagonists concluded with a warm hug and handshake, leaving, we hope, all the resentment behind them.

This Sunday will therefore be held the grand final of this WPT German Open, where the ex-number 1s will compete Alejandro Galan and Juan Lebron, and one of the strongest pairs of this season, Franco Stupaczuk and Martin Di Nenno.
