Today tennis champions, Serena and Venus started tennis with their father who put a racket in their hands from the age of 4 years. He dragged them on "the battered courts of the poor area of Compton, Los Angeles. He decided it was tennis or nothing. He chose tennis because "he wanted his daughters to break into a little white sport and social revenge is not for dogs".

And they succeeded! When this book came out in 2009 Serena had won 11 titles in the grand chelem and Venus 7. They had both been world number 1. Seven years later in 2016, Serena Williams equaled the record for most tournament victories in the grand chelem by Steffi Graf (22) and is still world number 1. At 34, she has a total of 71 titles on her list. Venus is sixth in the world and has 49 titles to her credit, including 7 in grand chelem, at 35 years old.

They have completely changed the game of women's tennis, from a game of finesse to the Martina Hingis to an overpowering baseline game: "bazooka services and thighs of hammer throwers." They have established themselves as emblematic players in women's tennis. In particular Serena, who will certainly exceed the record of Steffi Graf and who, at 34 years, is still number 1 worldwide and outrageously dominates his discipline.
