It's almost the coup de grace for the World Padel Tour. The words of the International Women's Players Association padel (IPPA) end the exclusive collaboration that there was between the players and the World Padel Tour.

Even before the end of the contract which linked the signatory players and the World Padel Tour, so they decide to join the gentlemen on the circuit Premier Padel 2023 soon.

The prophecy comes true

The players will therefore not wait for the end of their contract (December 2023) to look elsewhere. Continuation and end of a soap opera that could have ended much earlier given the final outcome.

For the President of the International Federation of Padel, Luigi Carraro, “female players should not miss this chance to join Premier Padel. It's already a lot of wasted time and there's a time when it might be too late” explained to us almost a year ago at Roland-Garros.

Almost with regret, the president of the FIP noted that Premier Padel started this 2nd year without the girls in Qatar for this first Major of the year. He prophesied that the girls were going to be present for the next event of Premier Padel, but we still had to wait. It's now official.

The FFT will no longer have to fight

We remember the French Tennis Federation which had fought to have at least a female presence in one way or another during the first Major at Roland-Garros. In vain. Too complicated, the players not having dared to do like the men.

It's ancient history. We will now have ladies' and gentlemen's events at Premier Padel.

We remember our Frenchwoman, Alix Collombon, who would have liked so much to participate in this first Major, at home. This time, this second edition will be with her. She will finally be able to enjoy this dream directly.

All that for this

An outcome that can still raise some comments. The IPPA took its time, but didn't it lose a year in this story if it is to end up doing like the gentlemen?

The IPPA would have lasted until the end of 2023, we could have understood. But join Premier Padel now it's almost like admitting to having wasted a year procrastinating.

Le World Padel Tour thus loses its exclusivity among the ladies as it lost it among the gentlemen.
