Mélissa Martin and her partner Rebeca López won a tournament on the Madrid circuit this Sunday. A title that has been desired since it arrives more than 3 months later.

The story is special and deserves to be counted. Melissa Martin, 2nd French player, went into exile in Spain and in Madrid more particularly, to bet on her future padel.

The stages of World Padel Tour are of course an objective not to be missed under any circumstances. His “official” partner Meli García Truchado having obligations, it is with Rebeca Lopez that Mélissa had registered for this 2nd category tournament.

This tournament therefore started in March at Sanset in Madrid. The confinement having forced the stopping of the competition, and the Sanset having closed its doors definitively, it’s on the infrastructures of the Madrilenian Federation and more than 3 months after the final was played, for a clear victory which is good for the points.

Reminder of the Spanish classification

In Spain there are 2 types of tournaments : free tournaments where everyone can register, and “federados” tournaments for licensees. Among licensees, there are 5 categories, the first being the highest since there are the majority of WPT players. In order to reach this first category, you must start with the fifth and earn points; this is the work that Mélissa Martin is doing.
