For the first time in the history of World Padel Tour, an Open will take place in Italy. Place in the main draw after the French men's epic which ends at the gates of the round of 16. History will wait!

Make way for the ladies and in particular the 3 French women registered for the Open: Alix Collombon, Laura Clergue and Léa Godallier.

After the gentlemen, the ladies!

Despite the defeat of the pair Scatena / Ember, she had 3 out of 4 chances to benefit from a lucky looser place and thus finally enter the 1st round of the Sardinian Open. But fate and bad luck especially decided otherwise.

Benjamin Tison sums it up perfectly:

So ends our great tournament in Sardinia. Loss in three sets against Jon Sanzy / Antonio Luque. Well done to them. Great players and great people. 3 out of 4 chances of being lucky looser and we weren't… On the one hand, coming from tennis when we lost we go home.

The event takes place at the famous tennis club: The Tennis Club Cagliari. And there will be French representatives in the main draw of the World Padel Tour.

Collombon / Traviesa and Godallier / Clergue

The 1st round of the main draw begins today with 2 matches where we will have French representatives.

The first match will start at 15 p.m. with the Franco-Spanish pair: Alix Collombon and Nicole Traviesa. They will play against a pair which lost yesterday in previa but which benefits from the withdrawals: Martinez/Fassio. On paper, a first round where Collombon / Traviesa will clearly be the favorite.

The next round will not be the same story at all since in case of victory, they will play the sisters Alayeto twins.

Laura Clergue and Léa Godallier will play at 17 p.m. opposite Amatrian / Llaguno.  Our French also take advantage of a retirement to be lucky looser in this main draw. A gala round against one of the best pairs in the world.
