Despite a raging Scatena, the Franco-Spanish pair loses during this first round of P1 Mendoza Premier Padel in three rounds against Chozas/Cepero.

A high intensity game

The beginning of the meeting is thrilling. From the first exchanges, the two pairs showed remarkable intensity, but neither of them managed to gain the upper hand over the other. It was then that Jérémy Scatena, visibly inspired, decided to play the 'brainstorm' card. The French player allows himself to celebrate each point scored, making his voice resound in the Argentinian enclosure. A daring strategy aimed at mentally penetrating the minds of his opponents and destabilizing them, while seeking to gain power.

At 4 games to 3 in favor of Scatena and Bueno, the long-awaited break opportunity finally presents itself for the Franco-Spanish pair. However, Chozas and Cepero, manage to save this delicate situation and turn the tide by jostling their opponents during the next game. Despite the strenuous efforts of Scatena and Bueno to save four break points, the pressure ended up being too intense, and the Franco-Spanish pair had to give up their serve. Alex Chozas and Alvaro Cepero win the first set 6/4.

The Scatena show

The Franco-Spanish pair refused to give in and entered the second round with unfailing determination. From the start of the set, Scatena and Bueno manage to put pressure on their opponents. This time, their tenacity is rewarded, they achieve the long-awaited break. 'Scat''s energetic celebrations seem to have an unsettling effect on their rivals, who seem unsettled by the boost in energy.

However, while Scatena and Bueno have the opportunity to widen the gap with a 5/1 ball, Chozas and Cepero refuse to admit defeat. They react and erase this double-break opportunity by seizing the opposing service, thus returning to 4/3.

Once again, the Franco-Spanish pair is making a strong head! She does not let Chozas and Cepero come back and regains the advantage at 5/3. Jérémy Scatena, truly unleashed on the center of the Acongua Arena, closed this second set with a furious smash, sending a strong message to his opponents.

Scatena and Bueno cracked

Despite a ruthless Scatena, Alex Chozas and Alavaro Cepero raise their level of play and manage to take the lead in the deciding set by making the break. The Hispano-Argentinian pair puts more intensity and completely cracks Scatena and Bueno. Led 5/1 the latter will not come back and bow in three sets 6/4 3/6 6/1 in 1h45.
