This Wednesday began the international tournament of padel-armchair in Casa Padel and the favorites were sovereign during this first day.

A day where the hierarchy was respected but which could have had a surprise in store for us…

Summary of this first day

Poule A

  • The Spanish pair Ramperez / Trivino had all the difficulty in the world to beat the Franco-Dutch pair Navarro / Ammerlaan. The favorites only achieved victory in the tie-break, after a match fought up to eight games everywhere.

Poule B

  • The two Spanish pairs also delivered a high-level show with a match which ended with a score of 9 games to 8 in favor of the Garmilla-De Anta pair.

What awaits us tomorrow

The group stage will end in the morning, and the main draw will begin in the afternoon with the pre-round, quarter-finals and semi-finals scheduled for 16 p.m.

In short, the favorites, mainly the Spanish pairs, were not worried. It remains to be seen if the surprises are reserved for the final stages of the tournament!
