Philemon Raichman played its first P2000 final in Bordeaux a few days ago. For this first big tournament of the season, the young Frenchman, associated with Benjamin Grue, performed very well throughout the tournament, gradually climbing all the steps leading to the final against Bastien Blanqué and Adrien Maigret.

We wanted to know a little more about Philémon, in particular concerning his recent expatriation in the Catalan capital, and his future projects.

“A first positive association”

“We eliminate De Meyer / Vanbauce in the half with a big game. The latter had also eliminated the seeded number 2 the day before”.

“With Benjamin we had planned to play together the stages of the French circuit according to the first results. We have seen that for a first association it is rather positive. Therefore it will surely continue like this in France. In addition, it may well be that we participate in certain international competitions together depending on our availability. I also intend to always play according to our schedules with Julien Seurin”.

“I like life in Barcelona a lot”

“We've been in Barcelona since mid-September now and so far it's going well. Since we arrived at the end of the sporting year, we took the opportunity to train and prepare for the pre-season. The latest results show that all the work done in recent months in Spain is paying off. In addition, life in Barcelona pleases me enormously so for the moment it is not planned that I return immediately”.

“The pre-season was relatively heavy because every other day we had two physical sessions with a cardio part that we will do less during the year. training padel as for him, it was done during the week to give us time to rest on the weekend”.

“I decided to change palas this year. Last year I evolved with the Bullpadel Hack Comfort, but this season I opted for the Vertex because I find it a little stiffer but just as easy to handle and powerful. This gives me the right balance between control and power.”

“Play on the international circuit”

“In France, I intend to play the P2000s, and maybe the P1500s if there are any. However my priority is the FIP tournaments. This is one of the reasons that made me move to Barcelona. I would like to play on the international circuit. The tournaments will come quickly because the next one I will play will be the FIP Rise La Palma, Canary Islands. I am registered this time again with Benjamin Grué. At the end of March normally I will participate in the FIP Gold in Dubai. In April, direction London and then Bordeaux , again with Benjamin Grué”.
