Why the 2023 – 2024 season padel is unmissable? I will give you 5 reasons !

1. One and the same classification

After the disappearance of World Padel Tour, this season, there will be one and only one circuit, and therefore only one classification with the Premier Padel. No more misunderstandings regarding the places and points distributed, everything will be much clearer. But above all, this will allow better visibility for the padel at the World level.

2. Less Spain and more international

Who says new circuit says fewer tournaments. This season we will have 25 stages. There will only be 4 tournaments in Spain, compared to 12 last year. THE Premier Padel aims to internationalize, and for this, the circuit opens up to new countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Venezuela, but also new cities like Acapulco, Genoa, Rotterdam , or Düsseldorf.

However, what interests us most, it’s Bordeaux. The Arkéa Arena will be transformed into a real village of padel from June 10 to 16.

3. A thrilling war for the throne among the gentlemen

Last season's top three pairs decided to stay together (Stupaczuk – Di Nenno / Lebron – Galan / Coello – Tapia), which is excellent news and promises a quality show.

Battle for the throne

Although Coello and Tapia finished at the top of the standings last season, it is Juan Lebron and Ale Galan who will start the year 2024 at the top of the FIP ranking. For now, this must not please Arturo and Agustin, who will undoubtedly seek to prove that they deserve better. We will therefore witness a real battle for the throne.

4. Are Bea Gonzalez and Delfi Brea ready to topple the number 1s?

Among the women, a battle for first place is emerging. If Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez had a thunderous start to the season, they saw Bea Gonzalez and Delfi Brea assert themselves as real competitors for the title at the end of the season.

The Spanish-Argentinian pair won their last two confrontations against the number ones and pocketed the last four tournaments of the season. They will need to be monitored closely.

5. Bela's last dance and the emergence of interesting new pairs.

Like every year, we were treated to the famous “Baile de parejas” with new pairs that make us salivate: Chingotto / Momo Gonzalez - Paquito Sanyo 2.0 or even Bela / Capra. Bela announced that he was playing his final season on the professional circuit.

For the ladies too, we have some interesting new pairs: Triay with young Claudia Fernandez, Marta Ortega with Veronica Virseda, Salazar with Tamara Icardo, or Claudia Jensen and Jessica Castello back together, with the ambition of coming to tickle the best pairs on the circuit.

See you at the first tournament of the season which is starting this Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Who do you think will win this first stage of the season?

Vincent Gallie

A fan of oval football, round ball but also racket sports, he was stung by the padel during his adolescence in Galicia. As comfortable in front of the camera as behind a microphone, Vince will be able to bring his vision and expertise as a fan of the little yellow ball.
