There comes a moment in the life of every padel player, where we think we are ready for our first tournament. Do you have the competitive spirit? Are you a good partner for your classmate? All this counts in the padel events.

It's very easy to think about competing with other players, and really seeing where your own level is.

To start registering for padel tournaments, there are several things that can be considered to determine if we are ready for our first tournament.

The level of the tournament

The padel is a lot more fun if we win (logical). So, in your first tournament, make sure to face people of your level, that there is a pool phase for novices. For example, instead of trying a P500 or P1000, start with a P100.

An experienced pair

The choice of the partner in the padel is a complicated question. For this type of tournament, if you can, take someone who already has experience in padel tournaments. This will help you explain how it works, scores, details to learn how to warm up with your opponent, how to handle important moments of the match, tactics, etc.

Plus, if you already know how to do it and your rivals do not realize it's your first time, it's even better. In this way, you will avoid falling into one of the padel classics: send the most balls to the weak player. Your fitness will be grateful.

It may seem interesting to decide whether or not to participate in a tournament. For your first tournament, try to enjoy the tournament, to see how things work. To get an idea, the registration for a tournament is now between 20 € and 30 € with the assurance of making at least 2 3 matches (depending on the tournaments).

Do not forget to have fun

There are players who know how to play very well, very complementary, but who never win tournaments. And that's normal so imagine if this is your first tournament.

Sign up, and already start enjoying. The important thing is to play and therefore have fun!
