Alejandro Galan is a left-wing player, known in particular for his power et his reflexes. He is today, on the professional circuit, the best blocking player at the net. The Madrilenian is capable of playing impossible defensive shots and to land a record number of winning shots.

A passion for padel from the youngest age

Alejandro was born on 15th May 1996 to Madrid. He often repeats it, he was “born with a shovel in the hand”… However, he only started taking lessons in padel that the age of 7. From from a humble family, he was unable to do so before because of the high cost of lessons. And again, when he begins to take lessons, it can only beonly once a week.

The lessons he took still allowed him to participate in competitions in the junior category, where he obtained very good results and began to climb the ladder padel Spanish.

What will change everything is a grant he receives. Thanks to this income, he can finally train more regularly. The results are paying off: he improves at great speed and becomes theone of the best in the world in the junior category.

If his talent is undeniable, he will have to wait until 2016, his 20th birthday, to really stand out among the professionals!

His meteoric rise to the top

He made his debut on the World Padel Tour with Juan Cruz Belluati. The pair does not, of course, participate in no final during this season, but it still reaches sixth place in the pairs ranking. Not enough to allow Ale and Juan to continue together. At the end of 2017, the two men parted ways after a season spent together.

In 2018,, just two years after joining WPT, Ale Galan won his first title at Valladolid, alongside his new partner, Matias Diaz. The same year, the two teammates won a second coronation, Lugo. Alejandro Galan enters the Top 10.

The following year, after parting ways with Diaz, Galan played alongside two players. He starts 2019 with Juani Mieres with whom he won the Buenos Aires Masters. But despite this result, both players are moving towards other horizons. Ale Galan joins forces with Pablo Lima, with whom he will have a fantastic end to the season: 3 titles and victory at the Master Final in Barcelona.

At the end of the season, Alejandro Galan is world number 3. Once again, he makes a change of partner and finds himself with Juan LeBron, number 1.

Lebron / Galan: “I love you… me neither!”

Alejandro Galan and Juan LeBron became the emblematic pair of padel global. Since 2020, they have been at the top, stringing together victories and titles. During their first year side by side, marked by the pandemic, they won 6 of 11 WPT tournaments, offering themselves the place of number 1 together.

Since then, we know, the two players have reinvented the sport and risen to the top. But their relationship can often surprise. Alejandro Galan and Juan LeBron are known for having two big egos… And two large characters. Tensions between these two players flared more than once on the track. Many probably remember the clash between the two players at NewGiza P1. A heated exchange, with a gesture of humor from Galan, who had left the field very annoyed.

Since then, have tensions eased? In a way yes. Indeed, after the soap opera which animated the end of last season (the possible separation of Juan LeBron and Ale Galan), the two players showed a completely different side and we finally decided to continue their association.
