The Scatena / Ritz pair won the P1000 of the Tennis Club Toulonnais Open. A tournament padel who offered a unique show with his famous “NIGHT SESSIONS”.

A tournament to do!

It was the first P1000 organized by the Tennis Club Toulonnais. The players were received like royalty. Probably one of the tournaments of padel the most original so far with a passionate Toulon team.

The recent club of padel becomes part of the family of padel with honors!

Apotheosis: a fully supported lunch in a trendy beach club on Toulon with everything we could wish for.

Recipe ? A frank camaraderie and a Toulon club with little onions for its guests.

A success also sporting

It is obvious that beyond the reception, we were present to attend a big tournament ... and we were not received.

Many big names in padel French were at this Open despite a stage of the My Padel Tour to the Big IV in Valenciennes.

After 1 / 8e finals particularly expeditious despite very nice surprise (Leygue, young player of 15 years very promising), the first big games made their appearance in 1 / 4 with clashes between Jeremy Scatena / Jeremy Ritz against Maxime Moreau / Jerome Inzerillo.

The partner of Max Moreau, freshly introduced to the world of padel but with 10 years on the ATP Tour was probably the big surprise of this tournament with a level padelremarkable istic.

Scat and Ritz are also not far from elimination in this match by winning the super tie-break after losing the first set 6-2.

For other 1 / 4 finals, no big surprise, Jerome Ferrandez / Pier Gauthier; Justin Lopes / Mathieu Barrot and Laurent Boulade / François Authier all qualified for the semi-finals.

Note the very good performance of the pair Roumy / Arres who defeated Perpignan's Jean-Pascal Pellicer / Loïc Tap in 1 / 8e and who gave a hard time to Gauthier / Ferrandez in 1 / 4 final, the obliging to push to the super tie-break.

Semi-finals under tension

The two semi-finals (Ritz / Scatena vs. Ferrandez / Gauthier and Lopes / Barrot vs. Boulade / Authier) were played in 3 sets.

On one side, a Jerome Ferrandez, rabid, hungry for victory and Pier Gauthier accurate and incisive held the dragée high for almost 2 hours two Jeremy who have won on the wire despite an incredible level of play.

Scatena / Ritz Victory: 7-6 5-7 6-3

In the other half, a very tight and tense match that ended in horrible cramps of Mathieu Barrot who could not set foot on the ground during the last two games.

Boulade / Authier Victory: 6-4 4-6 6-4

A nocturnal finale ... very nocturnal

For this tournament, the Tennis Club Toulonnais had made the choice to play at night, fresh.

Problem: after two very close semi-finals, the final started very late, at midnight ...

The players, very tired, especially Laurent Boulade and François Authier who had just come out of their semifinal, have delivered a last fight maybe a little tarnished by the physical and moral fatigue.

Scat and Ritz, more rested, won their match relatively easily 6-2 6-3 in front of an audience unfortunately alleviated also because of the late hour.

But a tournament to be remade so much the mind padel was present all weekend.
