Le TC du Mas in Perpignan (Ligue Occitanie) will host, from 21 at August 23, the first of six tournaments, women and men, of padel created by the FFT as part of the support and revival plan for its disciplines. Some meetings of this tournament "P 2000", bringing together the French elite of the discipline, will then be broadcast on the federation's digital platform, TFT-TV.  

3 days with French tops

The best French players in the discipline will compete over three days of competition, during the qualifying phases on August 21, then during the final tables on August 22 and 23. The TC du Mas will host, among others among the ladies, the 6e French player Fiona Ligi and the 2019 European champions, Léa Godallier and Mélissa Martin, 2019 French vice-champions or Laura Clergue, 57e world player. Among the men, many 2019 European vice-champion players will be present including, the 2019 French champions, Johan Bergeron and Bastien Blanqué, the French n ° 3 Benjamin Tison and Adrien Maigret or even Jérémy Scatena, 101e global player.

The public will be able to come see them play and cheer them on throughout the weekend. Indeed, the club will open its doors, in responsibility, in compliance with the health protocol then in force in the FFT clubs.

Le padel such as World Padel Tour

Attached to offering visibility to this spectacular discipline and making it known to as many people as possible, the FFT will broadcast on its digital platform, FFT TV, certain matches, ladies and gentlemen, of this first tournament:

  1. Two quarter-finals, on August 22, from 18 p.m.,
  2. Two semi-finals, on August 23, from 09 a.m.
  3. The ladies' final followed by the men's final, on August 23, from 14 p.m.

P2000 events in France

To give French players the opportunity to resume high-level competition in a sustainable and responsible manner, this tournament will be followed by five other “P 2000” tournaments, also organized by the FFT:

  1. From September 11 to 13 at the Les Pyramides club in Port-Marly (Ile-de-France League),
  2. From September 25 to 27 in Toulouse Padel Club (Occitanie League),
  3. October 9-11 at El Padel Wambrechies Club (Hauts-de-France League),
  4. From 23 to 25 October to Padel Horizon of Sucy-en-Brie (Ile-de-France League),
  5. From December 4 to 6 at the Big Padel in Mérignac (Ligue Nouvelle-Aquitaine).

These six tournaments will take place with the introduction of an experimental measure since coaching will be authorized there. This measure, already effective on tournaments World Padel Tour, will support the players in their gradual resumption of competition.

The gathering of selectables

Ahead of this first competition, a gathering of players who can be selected for Senior French Teams will take place at the Tennis Club du Mas, in Perpignan, today and until August 21, in the presence of Alexis Salles, captain of the 'Team of France Seniors Men and Robin Haziza, captain of the Team of France Seniors Women.
