Alix Collombon, French player of the World Padel Tour, answers our questions and introduces us to the French Touch Academy. This initiative brings together other star players such as Laura Clergue and Robin Haziza, among others. What is the French Touch Academy?

  • Padel Mag: Hello Alix. So what is the French Touch Academy?

Alix Collombon: Quite simply it is an academy of Tennis and Padel. It is the birth of an organization which aims to use the experience accumulated over the years in France and Spain to pass it on to enthusiasts.

  • PM: So in your case it would be the padel ?

AC: Yes absolutely. With Laura Clergue and Robin Haziza we are the ambassadors of the game padel. Our goal is to develop the padel in France by creating events padel and especially internships.

  • PM: Would the idea be to bring the Spanish learning technique back to France?

AC: Yes and no. In Spain, we learn a lot, every day, from the older people. With Laura and Robin we share our ideas and experiences of what is happening in Spain and what works, but also what is not done and what could be done here for the development of padel. Our job is to create a French learning technique, French Touch.

  • PM: You have a busy schedule, will we see you at these events?

AC: It is true that our calendar is very busy with padel almost every weekend. The fact that there are three of us will facilitate the fact that there is always an ambassador present. The idea is still that we are present for most of the events and courses during the year.

PM: So the next appointment is for when?

AC: It's happening at the International Tennis Center of Cap d'Agde 28, 29 and 30 June. We will be all 3 on the spot. And I only tell you one thing is that it will be very nice !! 😉

PM: And if our readers want more information, how is it?

AC: Directly via the French Touch Academy Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/lafrenchtouchacademy/

PM: Thank you Alix and long live the French Touch Academy

AC: Thanks to you and the readers of Padel May
